Since 1998, Chris Werner has been a regular contributor to several enthusiast automotive publications, most notably GM High-Tech Performance. Modifying small-block-powered GMs since his teenage years, his interests led him to seek a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating with honors from Clemson University, he attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Very thorough. Has a lot of supporting information for aftermarket performance stuff as well as things to look out for. Its as if an old timer from an LS only shop is explaing things to you step by step. Instead of a haynes manual for twice the price and the classic "step 1, remove engine, step 2, rebuild engine, step 3, reinstall engine." Get this book and breeze through it with confidence

I bought this because I am rebuilding my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L LM7 and it was a great buy. This book had a lot of information and was very very helpful in making a lot of decisions on what to do with my engine. This is a must buy in my opinion if you want to rebuild an LS based engine. there was many step by step instructions on what to do and a lot of pictures and the guy who wrote it really knows his stuff. Would buy again if I needed to.

You should have this book if you plan to do any LS engine work, another great book is "Building the Chevy LS Engine"

Helped ALOT in rebuilding my L76 in G8 Gt, I probably would of messed my engine up if it was not for this book.

There are quite a few other books out there on the "secrets" of building an LS engine. But this one walks you through, step-by-step, from disassembly to putting it all together, ready to fire. Excellent pics and explanations. I wasted $60 on other books, looking for the information this book had, at only $24. Worth every penny!

Great color photos with in depth explanations of a complete breakdown and rebuild. I bought this book for torque specs and every torque spec for the entire engine is listed on two pages which makes it very easy to find what you need. Very happy with this purchase.

Good book. Don't like the "ads" product pushing in a paid for publication.But it is a nicely made book.

I really enjoyed reading this book, most certainly glad I purchased it and I will reference it once I start to rebuild my 6.0 & 5.3.

Since this book is a required text for a college course, the review can be limited. It is a little outdated since the laws and way things are done have changed since print in 2008. If not needed for college course- try to find something more updated. Author is very good and book is easy to follow with practice test and answers. I gave it 5 stars because it delivers what it is, a 2008 print book. I think it would be unfair to try and downgrade it because it is not have a later print. It fulfills for what it is for the time it was written for.

Its a text book for college courses. If you think it is going to be anything other than that you are confused. It will help you pass a state realtor's exam but there are probably better ways to prepare.I got this book because it was required for a course I was taking.

I ordered this book for my real estate course and nobody can tell me what happen I never received the book that status never changed from October 2013 the status still says shipped. Now where this book is I don't know, It never made it to my address I highly doubt anyone knows what happen to it but all I know is that I will not be doing business with this "company" again

Justin Flom s path to crafting his own unique brand of magic has taken a circuitous route from his home town of Eden Prairie, Minnesota to Branson, Missouri to the SyFy Channel to some of the largest arenas in the country to being one of the first magicians to focus on social media on his way to becoming one of America s most sought-after magicians surpassing entertaining 100,000,000 fans in 2015. What sets Justin Flom apart from most other magicians is the simplicity of his magic and the fact that he cracked the code on doing close-up magic on giant stages. He holds the distinction of being the first magician ever to perform card tricks for a sold out crowd at the fabled Madison Square Garden.

Scott Flom is magic. Not because he's a magician, but because he's found time to nurture his passion for magic all while being a successful salesman, entrepreneur, husband, and father.  Scott was fifteen years old when he began practicing simple magic tricks with his older brother, Larry. Soon this hobby became a way of life as Larry used magic in his job as a history teacher and Scott and his career as a salesman. Using his creative skills and building relationships, Scott was soon one of the top salesman for his company nationally. As Scott and his wife Lisa began raising a family, each child was taught life lessons through magic and variety arts. People would visit from all over the country to spend time at the Flom house, as you never knew what would unicycle or juggle by the dinner table. He built his home with secret passageways, talking wall fixtures, and even a bowling alley. Scott is still a top salesman, he is still building magic into his home, and he still sharing life lessons through magic. He would tell you his whole life has been an amazing magical adventure. As he often says, "God promises to give you more than you can imagine, and I have a great imagination!"

Judy Flom-Hill is the proud aunt and godmother of Justin, and she has marveled at his magical prowess from the time he was two years old and starring in his family's magic productions. Her older brother, Larry, and her younger brother, Scott, awed her with their amazing feats of magic, the secrets of which they never divulged. Justin is now the third generation of Flom men to amaze and delight.  She is the author of two suspense novels under the name of Judith Shoemaker-Hill. Writing Lady Lazarus and Know Thine Enemy was an exhilarating experience, but collaborating with her brother and nephew was a new and wonderful literary joyride.
